2004 GT
Pro Series Micro
Part Diary,
Part Technical Manual, Part Tips & Tricks
This is a funny one. We're
in the process of adopting a little girl from China, which won't happen for
another 5-6 months. In the meantime, I saw a cool little mini BMX bike at my
LBS with a $200 price tag. As a kid, I've always liked these mini BMX bikes,
with those thin 1-1/8" tires and tiny handlebars and seats. So I figured
that we would want to buy our daughter a bicycle sooner or later, and this was
about as small of a "cool" bike as they come, so I offered $150 and
took it home on February 2, 2008.
The bike was in good condition, but pretty dirty, so the next morning, I disassembled
the bike, cleaned everything up, repacked the bottom bracket, adjusted the brakes,
and put on a pair of training wheels.
