2002 LOOK KG 381 Team
Part Diary,
Part Technical Manual, Part Tips & Tricks
These past few months I have been riding more, just really enjoying the sport again. I was snooping around on eBay when I came across one of my grail bikes, a KG 171, from the 1990s. This bike was was in Australia but the price and shipping costs were decent, so I decided to pull the trigger. The bike arrived via UPS on 8/1/2025, but it turns out it wasn't a KG 171, it was actually a KG 381 Team that was painted like a KG 171. Besides that major misunderstanding, the bike was in pretty good shape, except its a 57 cm instead of the 56 cm as advertised.
8/4/2025 - Because the bike was from Australia, the brake levers were backwards, so I flipped them around. I trimmed the shifter cables that were too long, then I lengthened the rear derailer housing to create a smoother bend. Brakes were adjusted, the rear derailer was readjusted. Now everything is cleaned, adjusted, and every bolt torqued to the proper spec.
