It was the day after Christmas and I was at work and things were very quiet. During lunch I was browsing CL and through chance, came across an ad for a beautiful purple colored Mantra that appeared to look brand new. Since my first mountain bike was a Gary Fisher Joshua, I'm familiar with URT bikes of the mid-90s era. A Klein was probably a bit over my budget at the time, but I always like the unique design of these bikes. So I check out the bike after work and it indeed looked new and was barely ridden. It also had a nice Thomson seatpost, which is always a plus! So on December 26, 2012, I brought back a beautiful Mantra.
12/22/13 - I kept the Mantra at my parents house, so I would have a bike to ride when I'm in town. In an overall effort to reduce the number of bikes I have, I decided to sell the Mantra. So when I visited this year, I posted an ad on CL for the duration I was in town. Well, it sold pretty quickly, so mission accomplished.

Frame: 1998 Klein Mantra Comp, medium. Power Tubing main beam, Gradient stays, 135mm spacing. Serial Number: Circle K V05970116 = May 1997, 116th bike of that month. Blastberry chameleon with black rear.
Fork: Rock Shox Judy T2, 63mm travel, 1-1/8" threadless, black.
Front Hub: Shimano STX-RC HB-MC33, 32H.
Rear Hub: Shimano STX-RC HyperGlide compact cassettte FH-MC33, 32H.
Front Rim: Bontrager Mustang, E.R.D. 542, 32H, silver.
Rear Rim: Bontrager Mustang ASYM, E.R.D. 541, 32H, silver.
Tires: Bontrager Revolt ST, 26" x 2.1" front, 1.95" rear, folding bead.
Cassette:
